Let the Investigation Finish!

I have had a very difficult time dealing with the happenings within the Administration over the past 16 Months.  I can barely stomach the outright lies and deception that have occurred on a scale never before seen in Washington.  What makes my stomach turn more than anything though is the current spin being drummed up by the President and his closest allies to discredit the Mueller Investigation, Department of Justice, Free Press, and individuals who have been doing their jobs and who happen to be closing in on subjects that hit exceptionally close to the President himself.

Being a person who watches many news sources, I find it appalling to turn on FOX News these days, as they are spewing rhetoric and bending over to forward the President's agenda of demonizing the Mueller Investigation, the Free Press (that would be all press outlets that cover facts about Trump), the Department of Justice, and others.  The conspiracy theories that are discussed are laughable, and on days things look bad for the President, which is nearly every day, FOX spends their time talking about Hillary and denigrating the institutions listed above as being part of a Deep State organized coup against Trump.

Let me go on record here as saying that all of the investigations and negative news coverage is a direct result of the Trump Administration feeling as though they live in a world without boundaries, rules or laws.  Trump is a man who has historically denigrated anyone who doesn't agree with him or who stands in his way.  He uses lies and falsehoods to drive his points, and figures that the more he says something, the more believable it will eventually become.  In other words, he tries to create his own facts.  you can have your own opinions, but you cannot have your own facts.

He only likes FOX News because they spinelessly cover him in a manner that a state run news agency in a country under totalitarian rule covers their leaders.  Trump and Hannity talk numerous times per day, to include prior to going to bed every night, and it seems Hannity has become a very close advisor to the President.  The only thing Hannity is missing is an official title.

Whenever someone in Trump's circle does or says anything to go against him, they are fired or pressured to resign, because Trump's way is the only way in his mind.  Everyone else is wrong.  He is surrounded by people who are constantly on pins and needles as they try to keep him content.  His daily information briefings have been slammed into one page documents (single sided) because he doesn't have the attention span for anything, and many of his close staffers have said in the past that they insert wording that makes Trump look good throughout everything they give to him because it keeps him more manageable.  He starts meetings out (the few that he actually attends) by rambling senselessly for long periods of time about things not relevant to the meetings, repeating himself several times and making no sense at times.

Trump's daily schedule is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.  His first briefing is normally at 11AM after waking up early in the morning and binge watching News Television (In other words FOX), Tweeting and making calls.  He is done by 2:30PM nearly every day at which time he binge watches hours more of FOX, talks to people like Hannity from FOX on the phone, and does other extremely Presidential things.  It is pathetic to say the least.  Those surrounding him essentially talk as if it is like keeping an old man in a nursing home happy.

How do people stand behind this Administration as being what this country needs?  Once again, and I have asked this question before, what would be the result of any other President, Democrat or Republican that we have had in America, if they had done and said just a fraction of what Donald Trump has since he took office?  The answer is pretty obvious.  So I ask, why does this man get a pass on a regular basis for everything?  Why can he lie constantly, say racist and xenophobic things, degrade people and institutions, and do all of the horrible things that he does and get away with it.  At this point I say that congress is complicit.  The fact that we have so few morals left in Washington is truly concerning.

We, the People of the United States of America, are your constituents Washington.  Try doing what is best for us.  Trump said he was going to drain the swamp.  He has made the swamp worse than it was to this point, and it is just going to get worse until he is truly held accountable.

Let Robert Mueller finish what he started, stay out of his way, and stop denigrating him.  This investigation is important and needs to be allowed to continue so America can ensure none of this is ever allowed to happen again in this country.

Trump and the DOJ Trying to Silence Mueller...

Mueller is set to sit in front of Congress on Wednesday this week and answer questions regarding the Mueller Investigation.  The DOJ, and organization that is supposed to look out for the best interests of America but has recently decided to become Trump's personal Law Firm, has sent correspondence to Mueller about what he can and cannot answer. For instance, you have the question of the 10 documented cases of obstruction in volume 2 of the report.  Mueller made it clear that he was bound by DOJ policy and could not indict a sitting president.  One very important question the Congressional Leadership will likely ask is, "If Donald Trump wasn't the sitting President, would you have indicted him based on the amount of evidence in the report?"  That question in every respect is fair.  You are asking the head of an investigation if they would have indicted someone had an arbitrary roadblock not been in place.  I say arbitrary roadblock because the policy is...

Let's talk about kids

So here we are, waiting patiently and watching what the government is doing to reunite children with their parents who have been separated at the border.  The government said all it would take was a few key strokes and they could immediately identify which children were where and get them reunited.  Interesting comment considering that we are now past the court mandated timeframe within which the government was mandated by the court to reunite the 102 children under the age of 5 with their parents.  They had a month to do it, and only managed to reunite around 54 children by the deadline.  They have resorted to taking DNA samples from children and parents to try to match them up in a database because the process they used to separate these children from their parents didn't take into consideration the reunification process, so in most cases they have no idea which children match up to which parents. Instead of the President taking a more compassionate approach to...

Technology, the Double Edged Sword

Technology is an amazing thing isn't it?  Look at the evolution of the computer.  Below I am providing a history of the evolution of the computer.  It is not all-inclusive, but does document some very important moments in history starting in 1801 and ending in 2017.  If you aren't a huge reader, you can jump past the history lesson to the remainder of my blog below, but it is very interesting and I recommend you read through it.  In France in 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard invented a loom that used punched wooden cards to automatically weave fabric designs.  Early computers would use similar punch cards. In 1822, an English Mathematician named Charles Babbage conceived of a steam-driven calculating machine that would be able to compute tables of numbers.  The project was funded by the English government and was a failure.  More than a century later, however, the first computer was actually built in the world. In 1890, Herman Hollerith designed ...
