I Speak Life!

Today the President Tweeted, "As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself, but why would I do that when I have done nothing wrong?  In the meantime, the never ending Witch Hunt, led by 13 very Angry and Conflicted Democrats (& others) continues into the mid-terms!" Don't get me wrong, he Tweet Stormed many other Tweets over the weekend and today, but this is the one that stood out to me the most.  Why?  Because the President wants to make it clear to the world that he is above the law.  The President wants everyone to know that he feels he has absolute power in his position.  That is not OK.  The President is not Omnipotent or above the law. With the Pardon talks lately it has seemed as though Trump has been sending a message to those who are under investigation to ride it out and he will pardon them.  That is a way of controlling the narrative and stopping those with dirt on you from sharing t...

The President seems to be starting a Pardon binge right now.  Is it because he is looking into these previous verdicts and sentences and finding them unfair, or is it because he is trying to do something far worse?  You see, one of the fears the President has right now, speculatively of course, is that there are people being investigated right now he is scared will flip and begin working for the Special Counsel or other law enforcement agencies.  If they do that, information the President doesn't want to come to light may end up ruining him.  Additionally, there are individuals who have already been indicted for crimes committed. One possibility for the pardons Trump is granting and talking about granting could be that he wants to send a message to those people out there who are under investigation to tell them, "It's ok, go down for what they have you on, don't flip, and I will pardon you."  It is a tactic just one step further down the road from the s...
