The Normalization of Lies...

I wanted to publish a short Blog today regarding the current state of discourse in America.

Mueller spoke, and made very clear through his speech and in his report that based on the constraints of his investigation, he was not allowed to indict a sitting President.  He did, however, cite numerous obstruction claims and state that in this situation, the investigation would need to be facilitated by other means outside of the DOJ, which leaves Congress, and to anyone with a brain that was very obvious.

At NO time was there any exoneration claims made by Mueller, and in fact, the exact opposite occurred.

That doesn't matter for the Republicans though, because they have been blowing up social media and right wing traditional media with lie and misdirection after lie and misdirection since Mueller spoke.  They are talking like everything is over and Trump is innocent, and the worst is coming from Trump himself, and even so far as the @GOP Twitter account.  Obviously Hannity, Rudy and the President's other inner circle members have been spouting off the innocence rhetoric as well.

This needs to stop.  In America, we need to stop allowing outright lies to be allowed to be included, unchecked in our daily political discourse.  How can the President of the United States, the most powerful person in the world, be allowed to lie and mislead Americans and the World on a daily basis through thousands of documented and outright lies?  Why is this OK?

They are gaslighting to divert attention from the fact that the President should be impeached and subsequently put in prison for crimes committed.  Over 1000 former federal prosecutors agree, and yet the innocence claims and outright lies about the report, Mueller's speech, and other items continue to flow through the media.

And then came the denigration by the President and others of Mueller and anyone else connected to the investigation.  It is all lies to try and make Trump look like a victim that EVERYONE should know he is not.

This President needs to be impeached, and this president needs to see the inside of a courtroom to stand trial for alleged crimes committed.  He has committed many impeachable offences that should have had him ousted long ago, and that would have had any other president in history ousted long ago without question.  Impeach him.  McConnell needs to grow a soul and order the right to stand behind impeachment, as the office of the President needs to be cleansed.  The problem is, McConnell doesn't have a soul and never will.  He is evil and calculating.

We need to stand up and demand change.  This is not the America that is Great.  We, the citizens of this country, need to bring Greatness back, as Trump has done nothing but destroy our standing around the world, making America the laughing stock of the world.  He has disgraced the office he holds, created a political divide second to none, destroyed the EPA, HUD, Energy Sector, Education Sector...and the list goes on.

Stand up and scream for change.  Contact your representatives and senators today!

And this has been your uplifting message of the day!

Trump and the DOJ Trying to Silence Mueller...

Mueller is set to sit in front of Congress on Wednesday this week and answer questions regarding the Mueller Investigation.  The DOJ, and organization that is supposed to look out for the best interests of America but has recently decided to become Trump's personal Law Firm, has sent correspondence to Mueller about what he can and cannot answer. For instance, you have the question of the 10 documented cases of obstruction in volume 2 of the report.  Mueller made it clear that he was bound by DOJ policy and could not indict a sitting president.  One very important question the Congressional Leadership will likely ask is, "If Donald Trump wasn't the sitting President, would you have indicted him based on the amount of evidence in the report?"  That question in every respect is fair.  You are asking the head of an investigation if they would have indicted someone had an arbitrary roadblock not been in place.  I say arbitrary roadblock because the policy is...

Let's talk about kids

So here we are, waiting patiently and watching what the government is doing to reunite children with their parents who have been separated at the border.  The government said all it would take was a few key strokes and they could immediately identify which children were where and get them reunited.  Interesting comment considering that we are now past the court mandated timeframe within which the government was mandated by the court to reunite the 102 children under the age of 5 with their parents.  They had a month to do it, and only managed to reunite around 54 children by the deadline.  They have resorted to taking DNA samples from children and parents to try to match them up in a database because the process they used to separate these children from their parents didn't take into consideration the reunification process, so in most cases they have no idea which children match up to which parents. Instead of the President taking a more compassionate approach to...

Technology, the Double Edged Sword

Technology is an amazing thing isn't it?  Look at the evolution of the computer.  Below I am providing a history of the evolution of the computer.  It is not all-inclusive, but does document some very important moments in history starting in 1801 and ending in 2017.  If you aren't a huge reader, you can jump past the history lesson to the remainder of my blog below, but it is very interesting and I recommend you read through it.  In France in 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard invented a loom that used punched wooden cards to automatically weave fabric designs.  Early computers would use similar punch cards. In 1822, an English Mathematician named Charles Babbage conceived of a steam-driven calculating machine that would be able to compute tables of numbers.  The project was funded by the English government and was a failure.  More than a century later, however, the first computer was actually built in the world. In 1890, Herman Hollerith designed ...
