Let's Talk About Trump and Mueller and Gaslighting

I haven't posted a blog in quite a while, and for a couple of reasons.  Reason number 1 is that life has been very busy.  I have been busy with my children's activities, with work, and with my wife opening up a new business this year.  Reason number 2 is that I got to a point where I had a very difficult time watching the 24 hour news cycle without becoming angered on a consistent basis, and I just needed to separate myself from Politics for a while.

Having said that, there are things that need to be clarified and talked about, and I wanted to write a short blog to discuss a few of those things.

Weeks ago, the Mueller Report dropped, and we immediately saw the lies begin within the Trump Administration.  Trump, and his talking heads went out to fill media interview spots and proclaim that the Mueller Report fully exonerated Trump of all Collusion and Obstruction.

The simple fact is, they were trying to get ahead of the media blitz that would claim the opposite after the report came out and was read by everyone.  Trump wanted to own the narrative, and many people in his steadfast base of die hard supporters ate up the lies and accepted them as the truth.

Why, because apparently facts don't matter any longer in America.  Trump surpassed 10,000 publicly documented lies and mistruths some time ago, and that is just sad; not the lies themselves as much as the fact that Trump still has support, and still has people who fully believe in him.

Now, the fact is that the Mueller Report did not exonerate the President.  Mueller made that very clear throughout the report (and yes, I have now read the entire report.  It took me quite a while, but I made it through).  that he stood by the loose policy belief that a sitting president could not be indicted.  He put together a report that clearly defined all of the numerous moments of obstruction that were looked into throughout the investigation, and expected the report to go to Congress whose duty is to provide oversight of the Executive Branch.  Mueller punted the report to Congress and Congress is now trying to due its duty, all the while being obstructed by the President.

Trump has vowed to disobey every subpoena and provide nothing.  He has opened lawsuits against organizations that have his tax documents to stop them from handing them over.  He has made it clear to the head of the Treasury and IRS that they should not hand over the taxes.  Trump is overtly obstructing justice right in front of us all, and Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, and others are allowing him to do it.

Our President would be sitting in federal prison right now if he wasn't President.  Over 700 former federal prosecutors have agreed to that fact.  There is more than enough evidence present in public now to indict Trump on at least 5 Felony Charges, but yet the right continues to support him.

Our nation is coming apart at the seams and no one is doing anything about it.  I cannot sit and accept that this is the future.  I cannot sit and allow this criminal to continue getting away with obstruction.

My message is simple. EVERYONE needs to vote in 2020.  Our voter turnout in America is abysmal to put it simple, and the only way this changes and this country has a chance stop the bleeding is for voters to go out and cast their ballots in 2020.  And as a clarifier, 2020 is NOT the year to vote for a 3rd party candidate.  Every vote to the 3rd party is a vote for Trump.

I am back, and I will continue to blog again in the coming weeks.  Please read and share my blog, and post comments so we can discuss the content of the blog in a civil and respectful manner.  DO NOT FALL FOR THE GASLIGHTING.  Look up the facts every time Trump or one of his talking heads speaks, and base your beliefs on the truth, and not on a cloud of lies and misrepresentations of the truth.

Have a great one!

Trump and the DOJ Trying to Silence Mueller...

Mueller is set to sit in front of Congress on Wednesday this week and answer questions regarding the Mueller Investigation.  The DOJ, and organization that is supposed to look out for the best interests of America but has recently decided to become Trump's personal Law Firm, has sent correspondence to Mueller about what he can and cannot answer. For instance, you have the question of the 10 documented cases of obstruction in volume 2 of the report.  Mueller made it clear that he was bound by DOJ policy and could not indict a sitting president.  One very important question the Congressional Leadership will likely ask is, "If Donald Trump wasn't the sitting President, would you have indicted him based on the amount of evidence in the report?"  That question in every respect is fair.  You are asking the head of an investigation if they would have indicted someone had an arbitrary roadblock not been in place.  I say arbitrary roadblock because the policy is...

Let's talk about kids

So here we are, waiting patiently and watching what the government is doing to reunite children with their parents who have been separated at the border.  The government said all it would take was a few key strokes and they could immediately identify which children were where and get them reunited.  Interesting comment considering that we are now past the court mandated timeframe within which the government was mandated by the court to reunite the 102 children under the age of 5 with their parents.  They had a month to do it, and only managed to reunite around 54 children by the deadline.  They have resorted to taking DNA samples from children and parents to try to match them up in a database because the process they used to separate these children from their parents didn't take into consideration the reunification process, so in most cases they have no idea which children match up to which parents. Instead of the President taking a more compassionate approach to...

Technology, the Double Edged Sword

Technology is an amazing thing isn't it?  Look at the evolution of the computer.  Below I am providing a history of the evolution of the computer.  It is not all-inclusive, but does document some very important moments in history starting in 1801 and ending in 2017.  If you aren't a huge reader, you can jump past the history lesson to the remainder of my blog below, but it is very interesting and I recommend you read through it.  In France in 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard invented a loom that used punched wooden cards to automatically weave fabric designs.  Early computers would use similar punch cards. In 1822, an English Mathematician named Charles Babbage conceived of a steam-driven calculating machine that would be able to compute tables of numbers.  The project was funded by the English government and was a failure.  More than a century later, however, the first computer was actually built in the world. In 1890, Herman Hollerith designed ...
