No, my blog is not a dictionary. I wanted to start this blog with a few key definitions that most all of you should be able to understand are all linked to one person. The current president has exhibited traits of the above defined terms on countless occasions since he began running for office (and long before he began running for office).
The facts can be found in interviews, tweets, press conferences, leaked tapes, and other official news video and written evidence. These this are not able to be disputed as they have been well documented.
A group of mental health professionals performed a thorough review of the Mueller Report and used it as personality source material for their findings. The Boston Globe documented three of the experts who found that, "The report has documented the president as willful, enormously self-absorbed, ruthlessly exploitative, threatened, and delusionally heedless of the consequences of his impulsive actions. His dangerousness constitutes a national crisis."
The analysis of the Mueller Report explains that, "for a functional examination, by contrast, there are few tests as informative as observations by the person's colleagues on his actual performance as to how he is or is not able to function on the job."
Political personality profiles by experts in mental health have been found legitimate and recognized since the inception of the 1976 task force called "The psychiatrist as Psychohistorian".
That aside, if we as Americans simply open our eyes and look at the current game plan of the president, it is astounding how horrible it all looks, and that is just considering the public face of the president and administration, and not the private happenings behind closed doors. Ask yourself, "If the president is willing to say what he says and do what he says in public, what is he willing to do behind closed doors when no one is watching?"
The Mueller Report alone, with no other supporting evidence, documents 10 separate obstruction claims that would be enough to put anyone in prison for a very long time. Trump, his administration, and the right wing in Congress act as though the report exonerated the president, but Mueller made very clear that it did not. Mueller went along with the long standing justice department belief that a sitting president cannot be indicted. Mueller did, however, put together a report that Congress should use to impeach the president.
The problem with that is two fold. First, none of the Republicans in Congress, other than possibly a small handful, will vote against Trump regardless of the facts. It isn't because they agree with Trump, but because they all feel they need the support of his base to continue their careers in Washington. That on its face should enrage this entire nation, but it doesn't.
A good example of what the president can get away with are the overtly racist tweets and subsequent comments about the 4 congress women of color coming out of this past weekend and continuing all week. There is no way to look at this as anything but extremely racist, but nothing is happening. Trump said the following in a 3 part tweet last Sunday:
"So interesting to see "Progressive" Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don't they go back and fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can't leave fast enough. I'm sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!"
First, there is ABSOLUTELY no way to define this tweet storm and what followed it on Twitter and in subsequent interviews as anything but overt Racism. He starts the tweet by talking about the countries that these women come from, and then tells them to go back. First, three of the four women are from and were born in the United States. One was born and fled Somalia, an East African Country, at a very early age, and then became a U.S. Citizen as a teenager.
Add this week's racist rants to a laundry list of others over past years from Trump:
1. Trump said he wants a, "complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States"
2. Trump requested the repeal of birthright citizenship last year
3. Trump pardoned Joe Arpaio
4. Trump falsely claimed to have seen, "thousands of people" celebrating the 9/11 attacks in "New Jersey, where you have large Arab populations. They were cheering as the World Trade Center came down." stated Trump. Trump continued and reiterated his previous point by saying, "There were people over in New Jersey that were watching it, a heavy Arab population, that were cheering as the buildings came down."
5. Trump inferred that Jeb Bush couldn't be trusted to secure America's borders because he married an immigrant. First Trump retweeted an allegation that Jeb Bush, "has to like Mexican illegals because of his wife." Shortly after that on CNN, Trump said, "If my wife were from Mexico, I think I would have a soft spot for people from Mexico."
6. Trump claimed that Haitians coming to the United States, "all have AIDS"
7. Trump said that Nigerians, if allowed into our country, would never, "go back to their huts."
8. In a conversation about illegal immigration, Trump said of Haiti, El Salvador, and Africa, "Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?"
9. When kicking off his presidential campaign, Trump said, "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best, They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
10. During the Justice Department's 1973 lawsuit against Trump Management Company, which alleged that employees of Trump's properties in New York City (39 Properties in the lawsuit) were directed to tell African American lease applicants that there were no open apartments, and during which employees were quoted in court documents as saying they were only to rent to, "Jews and executives", Donald Trump was quoted as saying, "You know, you don't want to live with them either.", to the individual taking a deposition.
11. Barbara Res, the construction manager for Trump Tower, said that her and Trump met with the architect to go over elevator-cab interiors at Trump Tower, and there were little dots next to the numbers. Trump asked what the dots were and the architect said, "It's braille." Trump was upset by that and asked to get rid of the braille, to which the architect stated he was sorry, but it was the law. Trump then said, "No blind people are going to live in this building."
12. Trump took out full-page ads in all four major New York newspapers to argue that perpetrators of crimes such as the so-called Central Park Five, "should be forced to suffer" and "be executed". Even after the men were found to be innocent after spending 15 years in prison, and after the real guilty party was identified and had admitted to the crime, Trump would still insist the five were guilty.
13. When trump came before the hearing of the Subcommittee on Native American Affairs to discuss his request for them to change legislation allowing Native Americans to operate casinos, he talked about Native Americans who had recently opened casinos and said, "They don't look like Indians to me." Trump was then asked, "You know how racist what you're saying is? How racist that is to judge people by what we think they look like and ignore their inherent rights as a person?" Another person replied, "Well, thank God people don't have rights based on your look test. An, you know, how many times have we heard this before in this country?"
14. In 2005, Trump had an idea to create a different approach to his show, The Apprentice. He thought it would be good to pit "a team of successful African Americans versus a team of successful whites." The concept never aired, but Trump's treatment of black contestants on his show generated controversy.
15. Trump was the start of birtherism. He claimed that Obama was not born in the United States and demanded he supply a birth certificate. Even after supplying his long form birth certificate, Trump continued on preaching the conspiracy theory.
16. On August 11, 2017, neo-nazis were marching onto the University of Virginia's campus in Charlottesville chanting, "Jews will not replace us" and "Blood and Soil", Nazi slogans. When asked to condemn the actions of the Nazis to include killing a girl by running her down with a car, Trump said, "There were very fine people on both sides."
17. Trump said that the judge presiding over the Trump University lawsuit that was settled out of court for $25 Million Dollars could not be fair because of his Mexican Heritage. Trump said he was building a wall and that it was a direct conflict of interest.
18. Trump overtly denigrated two minority Gold Star Families, and did the exact opposite to two white Gold Star Families.
19. Trump continually calls Elizabeth Warren, "Pocahontas", and even did so on stage in front of the Native American Code Talkers.
20. Trump called NFL Players kneeling during the Anthem, "Sons-of-Bitches".
Look, I can go on and on for days. Hell, just look back through Trump's twitter feed or recordings of his Rallies and there is ample evidence of his overt racism and other negative traits.
Congressional members on the Right who support Trump are complicit in his behavior and rhetoric. Remember that.
Also remember that if a person talks like a racist, walks like a racist, they probably are racist.
Trump, however, is far worse than that..and don't even get me started on Pence.
Well, until next time,
