I wanted to publish a short Blog today regarding the current state of discourse in America. Mueller spoke, and made very clear through his speech and in his report that based on the constraints of his investigation, he was not allowed to indict a sitting President.  He did, however, cite numerous obstruction claims and state that in this situation, the investigation would need to be facilitated by other means outside of the DOJ, which leaves Congress, and to anyone with a brain that was very obvious. At NO time was there any exoneration claims made by Mueller, and in fact, the exact opposite occurred. That doesn't matter for the Republicans though, because they have been blowing up social media and right wing traditional media with lie and misdirection after lie and misdirection since Mueller spoke.  They are talking like everything is over and Trump is innocent, and the worst is coming from Trump himself, and even so far as the @GOP Twitter account.  Obviously Hann...

So Robert Mueller addressed the nation today with a speech that should clarify things for everyone.  He laid out volume 1 and the fact that every American should be concerned about Russian Interference in our Democratic Elections.  He also clearly stated that if his investigation would have found Trump innocent of all obstruction charges, the report would have said so.  He clearly stated that the reason no indictments could be brought of the President is because of the long standing DOJ Policy regarding sitting presidents not being able to be indicted, but that those items can continue to be investigated and handled by other means, which if you haven't noticed is what Congress (at least half of Congress) is trying to do right now.  After the speech, the President tweeted the following: "Nothing changes from the Mueller Report.  There was insufficient evidence and therefore, in our Country, a person is innocent.  The case is closed! I want to talk about something that happened to my wife a day ago, and how it truly establishes where we are as a country at this point.  I have said before that it feels as though we have come to a point of division in the United States similar to that which existed before our own Civil War.  You may laugh, but really look at the discourse that exists in America today.  It isn't civil.  It is hate filled and not simply verbal as it once was.  Physical violence, murder, and hatred...often times politically motivated or fueled by political partisanship.  The current political atmosphere in the United States today is one that has led to the ends of friendships, the end of family relationships, and more.  Politics isn't just a thing that exists any longer.  Politics has permeated our lives to such an extent that we make life decisions about who to continue loving and supporting based in part by what others' political views are.  I will b...

I haven't posted a blog in quite a while, and for a couple of reasons.  Reason number 1 is that life has been very busy.  I have been busy with my children's activities, with work, and with my wife opening up a new business this year.  Reason number 2 is that I got to a point where I had a very difficult time watching the 24 hour news cycle without becoming angered on a consistent basis, and I just needed to separate myself from Politics for a while. Having said that, there are things that need to be clarified and talked about, and I wanted to write a short blog to discuss a few of those things.  Weeks ago, the Mueller Report dropped, and we immediately saw the lies begin within the Trump Administration.  Trump, and his talking heads went out to fill media interview spots and proclaim that the Mueller Report fully exonerated Trump of all Collusion and Obstruction.  The simple fact is, they were trying to get ahead of the media...

Ok, I have been offline from blogging for quite some time, but I feel it necessary to jump in and provide my viewpoint (take it as you will) on the subjects of the Mueller Report, Donald Trump, and Congress in general. The Mueller Report dropped and Trump and his talking heads immediately began to push a message of TOTAL EXONERATION, which anyone who has read the report at this point would know is complete and utter rubbish.  They wanted to get out in front of the news coverage and try to own the narrative by talking about exoneration, and by diverting attention from the facts which are plain and in black and white. Mueller stood by documented opinion that a sitting President cannot be indicted.  Having said that, he also set up the findings in his report to be a road map for Congress to perform their Congressional Oversight role and look into the ample number of obstruction of justice claims clearly noted within the report.
