What is the End Game for Trump?

Trump has and always will be about one thing and one thing only....TRUMP.  His name means everything to him because it is his brand.  As a business man, Trump has went through countless business failures.  I will start this blog with a list of many of those failures.  Please understand, this is not an all-inclusive list. 1. Trump Tower, Tampa Florida. Trump sold his name to developers to build what was being marketed as "so spectacular that it will redefine both Tampa's skyline and the market's expectations of luxury."  So many people invested and purchased units, and then it sat a decade later, an empty lot.  2. Mississippi Casino. Trump convinced Gulfport to lease 4.5 acres of public land, despite considerable opposition from the public, and he convinced the Gaming Commission, which for a while refused, to grant him a gaming license.  Less than a year later, not a single piece of dirt had been touched on the site.  3. Trump Atlanta. In 200...

How to get an Elephant into a Refrigerator

I wanted to break from the horrific Trump induced coma we have all been in and provide you some very helpful and interesting information.  This blog is going to be a how-to blog on something we all have to worry about from time to time in our lives....how to get an elephant into a refrigerator. I am going to break it up into easy to follow steps so that you can easily complete the task of getting an elephant into a refrigerator without error. How to get an elephant into a refrigerator Step-by-Step Instructions 1. Get an elephant .  I know this may seem obvious to most of you, but I am going to go ahead and take the "lather, rinse, repeat" approach, because there are some people out there who just can't do anything unless you spell it out for them completely.  You may find it difficult to get an elephant, especially if you live in a small apartment in a large city, but don't be a quitter.  Find a way.  Elephants may be fairly large, but think of it this w...

We are F#cked

Wow, it has been one heck of a news cycle for the past week.  I apologize for not getting a blog out sooner, but life happens sometimes and my schedule did not permit me to get the research done that I needed to late at night, because sleep was found to be at the top of my priority list in recent days.  The President has been on an absolute rampage on Twitter recently.  He is doing everything he can to move the attention of people off of the Mueller Investigation, Russia, Michael Cohen, the Putin Summit, and North Korea.  He is also trying his hardest to discredit the media coverage on said subjects.  I hope that most of you out there have logical minds that can conclude the reasoning behind much of what the President is doing right now.  Trump has found himself in a corner with investigations closing in all around him, bad press on his overseas visits, on his treatment of allies, on his policy at the border of the United States and Mexico, on tariffs h...

#TreasonSummit

Ok, so I don't even really know where to begin with this blog.  What happened yesterday during the Trump/Putin Summit, was, in a word, expected....to a point.  I think we all expected to some extent that the President would find ways of speaking highly of President Putin, just as he did in North Korea with their dictator.  What we saw yesterday, however, was much worse than I think any of us  could have imagined.  The President was given ample opportunities to condemn the actions Russia has taken over the years, demand they stop, and clearly state that if they do not stop there will be sanctions and other things put into place as a result, because the world will not put up with the types of horrible acts Russia has performed.  Trump not only refused to condemn the actions of Russia in the face of all of the facts gathered by every United States Intelligence Agency and the 12 new indictments set forth last Friday by the Mueller Investigation citing 12 sp...

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Yesterday marked a milestone for me with my blog.  When I started this journey earlier this year, choosing to spend time researching in the evenings and putting together a blog that was a reflection of my feelings and beliefs that I could put out a few times a week, I didn't expect it to last.  I expected it to become a week long pipe dream that would end abruptly and fail to grow legs of longevity.  What I found over time, however, is that the blog became a way for me to channel my thoughts, frustrations, and other feelings through my fingers and into words.  It has become a way for me to vent, and for me to present not only opinion but facts to those who don't always look deep enough to find the facts in stories.  If you are a regular reader, you have probably noticed that over time my posts have become more emotional.  I think that is in large part because my emotions on major subjects, especially politics in the United States, have become much stronge...

Screw the World!

Trump has been widely known to be very anti-globalization.  He has been on an international rampage of sorts, starting the United States on a path toward isolationism, which is something that never works out for countries that aren't ran by Dictators.  The scary part is that Trump has been unfortunately successful at accomplishing major steps toward the isolationism he wants.  The Iran Deal, formerly known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.  Even though many within the foreign policy realm recommended to the President to stay in the deal, Trump pulled the United States out.  He talked about how horrible a deal it was and then pulled out of it and made it all worse.  The deal wasn't horrible.  It was the best deal that could be made at the time, and Iran had remained in good standing with that deal since its inception.  Now, the other countries that were part of the deal vowed to remain devoted to it, but the United States said, "See You ...

Let's talk about kids

So here we are, waiting patiently and watching what the government is doing to reunite children with their parents who have been separated at the border.  The government said all it would take was a few key strokes and they could immediately identify which children were where and get them reunited.  Interesting comment considering that we are now past the court mandated timeframe within which the government was mandated by the court to reunite the 102 children under the age of 5 with their parents.  They had a month to do it, and only managed to reunite around 54 children by the deadline.  They have resorted to taking DNA samples from children and parents to try to match them up in a database because the process they used to separate these children from their parents didn't take into consideration the reunification process, so in most cases they have no idea which children match up to which parents. Instead of the President taking a more compassionate approach to...

Let's give Discredit where Discredit is not due...

So for over a year now, the Robert Mueller Investigation has continued on, looking into Russian Influences in the 2016 election, and ties that members of the Trump Administration and Trump Campaign had with Russia.  The President Tweeted on May 17th of this year, "Congratulations America, we are now into the second year of the greatest Witch Hunt in American History...and there is still No Collusion and No Obstruction.  The only Collusion was that done by Democrats who were unable to win an Election despite the spending of far more money!"  Now, this is just one of countless Tweets Trump has made over time referring to the Mueller Investigation as a Witch Hunt, but I wanted to note this one because I want to discuss below what has actually happened during the first year of the investigation that is being labeled by the President as a Witch Hunt.  George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators on October 5th, 2017. Michael Flynn, former Nat...

What does my America look like?

Often we debate about issues, complain about decisions, and offer ideas for improving different things in our country.  Today I want to go a different route and talk about what my ideal America looks like.  In my America, every vote counts, because everyone's voice should be heard in an election.  The United States Presidential Election uses the Electoral College rather than Popular Vote to decide who the President is going to be.  In most cases (all but 5 in history), the winner of the Presidency won both the Electoral and Popular Vote.  Here are the 5 cases in which Presidents lost the Popular Vote but still won the Presidency: 1. 1824 - John Quincy Adams (Democratic-Republican - Future National Republican) This election was historical from many perspectives.  The individual who became President, John Quincy Adams, did not win the Electoral Vote or the Popular Vote in the election of 1824.  There were 4 candidates running for the Presidency tha...

Why does it have to be one way or the other?

I remember a time when I could sit and talk politics and religion with people and have good, productive debates.  The debates were not hateful or one sided, and only rational personal opinions and actual facts were used during the discussions.  They included each person stating their points and making their case, and then each side came to compromises that allowed for solutions that would be good for both parties in the debate.  How did we come to a time in our country's history where we are so vehemently divided on every issue that nothing beneficial to the majority of the American populous or the stability of the country itself can be accomplished?  I am going to state some facts in the next paragraphs.  They may be facts you don't agree with, but they are facts none-the-less.  Those of you on the Right who believe your party's platform has all of the answers to the issues and problems this country faces...you are wrong.  Those of ...
