I Have Almost Reached My Breaking Point!

I am at the point in this presidency where I feel physically ill every time I hear the president speak.  I am baffled that anyone can stand behind the overt corruption and lies and call this president great.  There is only one way to Make America Great Again, and that is to start by ousting Trump from office either through Impeachment or General Election, and then continue by ousting every complicit GOP member along with him.

The actions of the GOP and Trump over the past 3 years are disgraceful to put it lightly.  Never in the history of this nation has so much overt corruption been allowed to occur unchecked politically.  These GOP Senators and Representatives know Trump has committed crimes and many, many impeachable offences, but they refuse to stand up against a tyrant president who has a goal of destroying everything that makes this country so wonderful.

If a Trump supporter hasn't stopped supporting him yet, they never will.  Knowing that, it comes down to voter turnout in 2020.  Get out to your polling places in the Primary and General Elections and vote Trump out.

I am not saying any of this as a Democrat.  I am saying this as a Father of two daughters who deserve a better future than the one currently playing out in this country.  Our President is a Pathological Liar, Sociopath, Narcissist, Climate Denier, Harasser, Bigot, Misogynist, Racist, Disgusting Bully, Ignorant Egotistical Child, Philanderer, and unqualified to perform the duties of his position.

These are things that have all been clearly proven, and yet the strong base stands behind Trump's words and actions no matter what.  Evangelicals stand behind Trump regardless of the countless things he has said and done that contradict their beliefs.  His die hard base stands behind him unconditionally, partially because of ignorance to the truth, and partially because they love how he runs the country like a bull in a china shop.

What bothers me the most is GOP members of Congress.  The members of the GOP in Congress are complicit.  Many come from purple states and are scared to speak out for fear of losing their seats in the next election.  Many others just stand fast with Trump for numerous reasons, and they are willing to regularly lie on camera (unless they are truly as ignorant as they come off as in the media) for an overtly criminal president with a God Complex and love for dictators.  It is the constitutional duty of Congressional members to impeach this president for the actions he has taken, and yet those who have been complicit continue down that path.

Don't try converting Trump Supporters at this point.  Simply engage every young to old voter you know and ensure they will be getting out to the polls in 2020 to vote for the Democratic Candidates.  I have never in my life condoned voting straight ticket.  I have always said you should research everyone individually.  I am saying right now that in 2020, #VoteBlueNoMatterWho because our country's future depends upon a massive voter turnout to right this ship...this sinking ship.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to my rant.  I would appreciate any comments you have, and for you to share this on your social media or RT if on Twitter.

Until next time,

DUNK

Trump and the DOJ Trying to Silence Mueller...

Mueller is set to sit in front of Congress on Wednesday this week and answer questions regarding the Mueller Investigation.  The DOJ, and organization that is supposed to look out for the best interests of America but has recently decided to become Trump's personal Law Firm, has sent correspondence to Mueller about what he can and cannot answer. For instance, you have the question of the 10 documented cases of obstruction in volume 2 of the report.  Mueller made it clear that he was bound by DOJ policy and could not indict a sitting president.  One very important question the Congressional Leadership will likely ask is, "If Donald Trump wasn't the sitting President, would you have indicted him based on the amount of evidence in the report?"  That question in every respect is fair.  You are asking the head of an investigation if they would have indicted someone had an arbitrary roadblock not been in place.  I say arbitrary roadblock because the policy is...

Let's talk about kids

So here we are, waiting patiently and watching what the government is doing to reunite children with their parents who have been separated at the border.  The government said all it would take was a few key strokes and they could immediately identify which children were where and get them reunited.  Interesting comment considering that we are now past the court mandated timeframe within which the government was mandated by the court to reunite the 102 children under the age of 5 with their parents.  They had a month to do it, and only managed to reunite around 54 children by the deadline.  They have resorted to taking DNA samples from children and parents to try to match them up in a database because the process they used to separate these children from their parents didn't take into consideration the reunification process, so in most cases they have no idea which children match up to which parents. Instead of the President taking a more compassionate approach to...

Technology, the Double Edged Sword

Technology is an amazing thing isn't it?  Look at the evolution of the computer.  Below I am providing a history of the evolution of the computer.  It is not all-inclusive, but does document some very important moments in history starting in 1801 and ending in 2017.  If you aren't a huge reader, you can jump past the history lesson to the remainder of my blog below, but it is very interesting and I recommend you read through it.  In France in 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard invented a loom that used punched wooden cards to automatically weave fabric designs.  Early computers would use similar punch cards. In 1822, an English Mathematician named Charles Babbage conceived of a steam-driven calculating machine that would be able to compute tables of numbers.  The project was funded by the English government and was a failure.  More than a century later, however, the first computer was actually built in the world. In 1890, Herman Hollerith designed ...
