Here we are...

Division in America is the worst it has been in as long as most can remember.  Seeds of hate are incorporated into the political arena now; hate seeds that sew conformity on the Right; not conformity with standard laws and practices, but conformity with a political party that stands behind a leader who has no moral compass and has committed multiple, provable crimes.

Those in the House and Senate conform to the way of Trump because they are scared standing up against him will cause them to lose their seats in the next election.  They may come from purple states and are in fear of their jobs.  The problem with that is the oath they have all taken.  The oath reads as follows:

"I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.  So help me God." (Title 5, Section 3331 of the United States Code)

If we all step back and look as a whole at the things this President has said and done that can be easily proven using only publicly available information, there are enough facts to impeach the President many times over.  Information gets spun by the right wing media to the point of insane conspiracy theories in order to deflect the facts and make others look bad.

Trump has a proven approach to every situation that makes him look bad.  At first, before all of the evidence is present, he DENIES DENIES DENIES.  Once overwhelming proof comes out he NORMALIZES what he did to make it seem as if there's no big deal.  Then when that isn't working as expected, he ATTACKS ATTACKS ATTACKS; projecting everything he has done wrong onto others.

Take the Ukraine call for instance.  He started by denying he did any of it.  When the memo was published and subsequently the whistle blower complaint that aligned with the memo, Trump began to normalize what he did.  He has even since called upon China and Australia to do the same thing he asked of the Ukrainian leader.  Then began his attacks of the Bidens, Adam Schiff, the Media, and others.  This is his game plan with every single scandal there is.  DENY, NORMALIZE, ATTACK.

There are overt laws being broken now, and the President is off the rails.  If you look at George Conway and the opinion piece he just published, he makes a very clear point.  If you watch a football game and see the quarterback get his leg snapped in two, you don't have to be a doctor to know the quarterback has a broken leg.  George makes a clear point that those of us who have watched this President over the past 2 1/2 years in office don't have to be doctors to know there is something cognitively wrong with Donald Trump.  It is obvious in more ways than I can cover in one blog.

We are existing in a time where our allies have become a cross section of international dictators, and our enemies are our former allies.  Trump is setting the Kurds up to be slaughtered if we pull our assistance out, and finally, FINALLY, some Republicans are speaking out about something.  They call out what he said about Turkey and the Kurds, but haven't spoken out about any of the other atrocities Trump has committed over the past 2 1/2 years.

This is not a Republican vs. Democrat thing Americans.  This is a true crisis we find ourselves in.  We need to get our country back and save America from the Kakistocracy we currently find outselves in.

Congress, stand up and perform your Constitutional Duty and Impeach.  Get Trump out of office expeditiously, because if we do not, harm may be caused that we cannot come back from quickly.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.  Talk to you next time.

Trump and the DOJ Trying to Silence Mueller...

Mueller is set to sit in front of Congress on Wednesday this week and answer questions regarding the Mueller Investigation.  The DOJ, and organization that is supposed to look out for the best interests of America but has recently decided to become Trump's personal Law Firm, has sent correspondence to Mueller about what he can and cannot answer. For instance, you have the question of the 10 documented cases of obstruction in volume 2 of the report.  Mueller made it clear that he was bound by DOJ policy and could not indict a sitting president.  One very important question the Congressional Leadership will likely ask is, "If Donald Trump wasn't the sitting President, would you have indicted him based on the amount of evidence in the report?"  That question in every respect is fair.  You are asking the head of an investigation if they would have indicted someone had an arbitrary roadblock not been in place.  I say arbitrary roadblock because the policy is...

Let's talk about kids

So here we are, waiting patiently and watching what the government is doing to reunite children with their parents who have been separated at the border.  The government said all it would take was a few key strokes and they could immediately identify which children were where and get them reunited.  Interesting comment considering that we are now past the court mandated timeframe within which the government was mandated by the court to reunite the 102 children under the age of 5 with their parents.  They had a month to do it, and only managed to reunite around 54 children by the deadline.  They have resorted to taking DNA samples from children and parents to try to match them up in a database because the process they used to separate these children from their parents didn't take into consideration the reunification process, so in most cases they have no idea which children match up to which parents. Instead of the President taking a more compassionate approach to...

Technology, the Double Edged Sword

Technology is an amazing thing isn't it?  Look at the evolution of the computer.  Below I am providing a history of the evolution of the computer.  It is not all-inclusive, but does document some very important moments in history starting in 1801 and ending in 2017.  If you aren't a huge reader, you can jump past the history lesson to the remainder of my blog below, but it is very interesting and I recommend you read through it.  In France in 1801, Joseph Marie Jacquard invented a loom that used punched wooden cards to automatically weave fabric designs.  Early computers would use similar punch cards. In 1822, an English Mathematician named Charles Babbage conceived of a steam-driven calculating machine that would be able to compute tables of numbers.  The project was funded by the English government and was a failure.  More than a century later, however, the first computer was actually built in the world. In 1890, Herman Hollerith designed ...
